Field Attendant

We are looking for multiple Field Attendants for our Deer Lake site. Our ideal candidates will enjoy working outdoors in a seasonal role, operating machinery to harvest peat. This role requires the ability to work flexible hours depending on the weather. We have local housing available!

 JOB SUMMARY:

• Responsible for harvesting peat in our fields at our Deer Lake site;
• Operate a tractor or a vacuum harvester;
• Responsible for general and preventive maintenance of the equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Driving experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to problem solve and trouble shoot;
• Results orientated, self-starter;
• Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision;
• Operating a tractor considered an asset;
• Prior field/ harvesting experience considered an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Seasonal position;
• Day/evening/night schedule.
