POSITION TYPE PERMANENT, FULL-TIME
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation: Deliver program information sessions, intake meetings, workshops and business training (online and in-person).
Business Consulting: Provide regular and ongoing business consulting to participants, support clients developing feasibility studies and business plans using a strengths/asset-based approach, analyze business plans and provide constructive feedback, and provide referrals for additional business services and to industry experts, as needed.
Program Administration: Maintain accurate and organized digital files, use an internal database to manage client case notes, complete monthly reports and provide relevant data and support to team members.
Qualifications
- Strong business plan development and assessment skills
- Group facilitation and mentorship skills
- Ability to effectively deliver online and in-person training and support
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Small business experience
- Understanding of cooperatives and social enterprise
- Clear communication and ability to solve problems
- Ability to analyze business plans and financial information
- Experience working with people living on low levels of income
- Understanding of the ongoing impacts of colonization
- Desire to work in a non-profit environment, to empower marginalized communities
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to deal with conflict in a healthy way and work well with others
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required
