Description

POSITION TYPE  SEASONAL (Mid April – Late September), FULL-TIME

The bartender at The Common ensures visitors experience a welcoming, friendly, and informative interaction at the beer and wine kiosks in The Forks Market and on the patio. The Common bartenders offer beer, wine, and non-alcoholic recommendations to guests at the kiosk and build genuine connections with all visitors at The Forks.

The Common Bartender is someone who will:

  • Pour beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages and offer knowledgeable recommendations to visitors.
  • Assist and educate visitors about The Forks and The Common.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Stock beer, wine, glassware, and other products.
  • Move full and empty kegs in and out of the coolers.
  • Ensure coolers are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Receive beer and wine orders and complete inventory.
  • Identify issues and concerns on site and report them via internal communications systems.
  • Support the Eco team with collecting glassware and dishware in The Forks Market and on the patio.
  • Work closely with other internal operations departments, ensuring visitor needs are met.

The Common Bartender is someone who:

  • Has their valid Smart Choices Liquor Service and Retail Certification.
  • Has experience working in customer service or hospitality.
  • Has exceptional communication and customer service skills with a genuine excitement to build connections with visitors at The Forks.
  • Is adaptable and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Has a flexible schedule and must be able to work weekends, holidays, and late nights.
  • Is able to work up to 8 hours on your feet, indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cooler temperatures.
  • Is capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 80 pounds.
  • Is a supportive team member, friendly, and helpful.
