DUTIES INCLUDE:

With a demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision and values of Child and Family All Nations Coordinated Response Network, the Director of Early Intervention provides dynamic leadership, policy direction and creative problem solving, oversees and manages the operations and all functions of the Early Intervention, the Wichihiwewin and ANCR reception programs. This includes developing, implementing and evaluating program policies, procedures and standards; determining program service levels and enhancements; developing and monitoring program budgets; providing expert knowledge and technical advice and/or supervision to staff, other departments, the public and other agencies.

  • Contributes to the strategic planning processes of ANCR and supports the implementation of the agency strategic plan, work plans, policy and procedural requirements within the programs.
  • Performs complex administrative duties requiring oversight, attention to detail and analysis including strategic and operational planning, financial analysis, and assisting in preparation of specialized program and project budgets to meet staffing and operational needs.
  • Ensures compliance with Manitoba Provincial CFS case management standards, Provincial and Federal legislation, Provincial regulations and ANCR policies and procedures.
  • Provides expert leadership in prevention and early intervention services, strengthening existing service delivery systems and identifying and recommending improvements to the program.
  • Leads and manages ANCR community partnerships including service purchase agreements and contracts and charitable grant applications.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate management/staff engagement and reporting systems.
  • Practices professional conduct, communication and behavior in the workplace consistent with ANCR Code of Conduct and ANCR Values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Social Work, MSW preferred or combination of education and experience.
  • 3 -5 years of experience as a Senior Manager or Supervisor in Child and Family Services environment.
  • Must have well developed analytical, problem solving, organizational and written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to make independent and consistent judgments and decisions.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable legislation and standards and best practices as they relate to CFS service delivery.
  • Commitment to and knowledge of culturally safe and agile service delivery.
  • Must be fair, flexible and able to function effectively in a cross-cultural setting.
  • Must have high level of personal integrity and professional initiative.
  • Ability to speak an Aboriginal language would be an asset.
