POSITION TYPE TERM (July 6, 2027), FULL-TIME
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the supervisor, the Early Intervention Worker will conduct assessments and provide the overall continuum of care through holistic, intensive, wrap around 90 day service to families as defined in the Early Intervention Program Integrated Service Delivery Model and Program Guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an understanding of the impact of colonization and the legacy of residential schools and 60’s scoop, be passionately committed to de-colonization actions, and have the knowledge to mitigate the stereotypes and myths applied to Indigenous Peoples.
- A Bachelor of Social Work degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a child welfare environment, Child and Family Services prevention experience an asset.
- Knowledge and experience in establishing networks of support, navigating systemic resources (Education, Health, EIA, Social) and community resources and services.
- Demonstrated skills and working knowledge in areas of team work; strength based and primary focused case planning; risk assessment; and identifying and understanding the complexity of issues and barriers families face.
- Knowledge and understanding Metis and multi-cultural traditions, practices and issues.
- The core competencies for this position include: communication, cultural competence, customer/client focus, decisionmaking, collaboration, organizational ability, and stress tolerance.
A valid driver’s license and a vehicle with $2,000,000 liability insurance is a requirement of this position.
A satisfactory criminal records check, prior contact check and a check of the Child Abuse Registry is a requirement of all ANCR employment positions.
