POSITION TYPE  FULL-TIME

                              Seasonal (Early May to Late September)

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, The Forks Green Team members will work on The Forks 52-acre site to ensure the outdoor public spaces are clean, beautiful, safe, and welcoming for all visitors. If you are someone who enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced environment, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in contributing to a positive visitor experience, this role is perfect for you!

The Green Team Member is someone who will:

  • Offer a warm and friendly greeting to visitors, providing assistance and wayfinding as needed.
  • Educate visitors on The Forks initiatives and projects.
  • Assist with outdoor patio setup including rearranging furniture, sweeping, garbage removal, pressure washing, and other related tasks as needed.
  • Dispose of waste, recycling, and compost.
  • Support with general ground maintenance duties such as weeding, pruning, and trimming trees, watering plants, cutting grass, and other duties as needed.
  • Be comfortable using push mowers, trimmers, and using hand tools.
  • Identify issues or concerns on site and report them accordingly.
  • Support the Eco Team with collecting glassware and dishware from The Forks Market and outdoor patio as needed.

The Green Team Member is someone who:

  • Is friendly and approachable with the ability to remain calm and empathetic when dealing with a frustrated visitor.
  • Communicates clearly with visitors, ensuring they feel well taken care of.
  • Is available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Has full-time open availability from May to September.
  • Is comfortable working 8 hours on their feet outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions including heat, rain, and cooler temperatures.
  • Is able to lift, pull, and push up to 50+ pounds consistently throughout a shift.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
  • Takes initiative by identifying tasks that need to be done and assisting team members without waiting for direction.
