DUTIES
RRC Polytech’s Human Resource Services Department is transforming service delivery to enhance support to the organization and employees. As part of this transformation, we are restructuring Human Resource Services to align closely with our strategic goals, streamline services and enhance employee experience.
To initiate this transformation, we are pleased to announce the creation of a new management structure that will see the filling of three new manager positions in Human Resource Services. These new roles reflect our commitment to providing responsive, innovative and human-centred HR support and processes across the organization.
The Manager, Total Compensation, will report to the Director, Human Resource Services. The Manager will lead a team of specialists to manage compensation, classification, organizational effectiveness, benefits, and disability management programs. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing comprehensive compensation strategies that align with the organization’s goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in human resource management, business administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising HR professionals with a focus on compensation and disability management
- Significant experience in developing and implementing compensation and benefit strategies, conducting market analysis and participating in compensation surveys
- Experience in research, analysis, policy and process development, preferably in human resources to improve organizational performance and effectiveness
- Extensive experience preparing a variety of written communication including policies, programs, briefing materials and announcements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work with vast amounts of information and meet deadlines while working under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to provide elevated level of customer service and develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders based on clear communication, trust, respect and appreciation for others’ needs and perspectives
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills through collaboration and innovation
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through to completion including the development of comprehensive change management strategies to support implementation
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products and other business-related applications
- Exemplifies the values and ethics of Red River College Polytechnic
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- A Professional certification in a relevant field would be preferred (ie. CDMP, CCP)
- CPHR designation is an asset, demonstrating a commitment to HR excellence and professional standards
- Experience in a unionized environment comparable in size and scope as Red River College Polytechnic
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
