Background: The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre (Ma Mawi) is seeking a Project Lead for a new and innovative collaborative project between Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre and Harvest MB. This role involves working closely with the two partner organizations, cross-functional teams, external partners, stakeholders and community to ensure that collaborative efforts are aligned to support development and implementation of a new collaborative project. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of navigating complex relationships and guiding teams towards successful collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies outlined in the project work plan to enhance collaborative efforts across partnerships. Align collaboration goals with overall program objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, key stakeholders as well a community members. Act as the primary point of contact for collaboration-related matters.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of collaborative projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Lead meetings, workshops, and discussions to drive progress and resolve issues. Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration among team members, partners and community.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators to measure the success of collaborative efforts. Analyze results and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address challenges or roadblocks in collaborative projects. Develop and implement solutions to ensure smooth progress and successful outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise, and compelling communication to various audiences. Ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the collaboration process.
  • Promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across teams and projects. Encourage a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designate.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in human/ social services, Community Development or related field would be an asset. A combination of education, training, volunteerism and lived experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience in leading collaborative projects, partnerships, or cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating meetings.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Truth and Reconciliation calls to action, UNDRIP, MMIWG calls to justice.
  • Demonstrated wisdom with incorporating Indigenous culture, protocols, and practices into programs and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Strong computer technology skills, including use of Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
