POSITION TYPE  TERM (Apr 1, 2026 – Mar 31, 2030), FULL-TIME

 WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Strategy Coordinator contributes to the academic, research and strategic initiatives of Research Partnerships and Innovation (RPI). The Strategy Coordinator is responsible for developing standard framework practices and processes to ensure the department objectives are met. Using college change management and project management practices, the Strategy Coordinator works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for leading projects with a results-oriented focus to meet project goals and deadlines. The incumbent will direct, organize, monitor and report on all projects and initiatives.

This position will have a focus on strategic coordination duties to support the Lab to Market Director, Executive, Steering Committees and Advisory council responsible for implementing the over $24 million Lab to Market project awarded to RRC Polytech to lead and distribute across hub partners. The position will provide senior executive assistant level support to the Lab to Market Executive Committee, advisory councils, Director, Lab to Market and, Research Operations Manager. Tasks include liaison and communications to institutions, partners and funders; reports and briefings to Lab to Market Executive Committee; events management for annual Summit, Steering committee and Network stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field such as Business. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, strategically, and innovatively to solve complex problems
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and/or change management
  • Experience creating, implementing and using project management tools, including project costings
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data
  • Knowledge of integrating technology to enhance workplace functions; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, influence others positively, and present ideas effectively
  • Ability to represent the College in a professional, collegial, and entrepreneurial manner
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to change while maintaining focus on long-term objectives
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic groups including industry partners, faculty, staff, students, and community members
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
