POSITION TYPE TERM (March 31, 2026), PART-TIME
(Tues 3 – 8 pm/ Wed – Fri 4 – 8 pm/Sat 12 – 8 pm)
General Responsibility:
The Youth Program and the McGregor Community Site is looking for a Youth Monitor to work as part of a team that will provide direction and facilitate activities for youth. This team member will provide a safe place for youth to play and learn and provide supervision of children/youth. The Youth Monitor will be supported by the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre staff.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and alongside others.
- Ability to relate to adults, youth, and children.
- Experience making schedules for activities to be implemented for children and youth.
- Provide leadership and learning opportunities for the youth.
- Provide team-building activities to enhance confidence among the youth.
- Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
- Be a positive role model.
- Be reliable, respectful, dependable and trustworthy.
- Having a valid Manitoba Drivers License would be an asset.
- Provide current (within the last three months) Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Query, Child Abuse Registry Check and be subject to a Prior Contact Check.
