Grounded in culture and respect, our programs are designed to create meaningful opportunities that contribute to a strong, thriving Indigenous community.

  • Support clients with career planning, resumes, interview preparation and job search skills.
  • Assess skills and connect clients to training and employment opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate client records, reporting and follow-up.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions engagingly and respectfully.
  • Build community relationships with organizations, employers and partners.
  • Represent NETES at outreach events, career fairs and community initiatives.

What You Will Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Human or Social Services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of the labour market and community resources.
  • Experience working with Indigenous clients or communities is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in employment services, counselling or career development.
  • Experience in facilitation and workshop presentation.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultures, communities and the realities of urban Indigenous populations.
  • Valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

NETES requires a clear, satisfactory criminal record check before employment begins. All existing criminal records must be dated within three (3) months of the start of employment.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. NETES is committed to equity and inclusion in employment.
